Voices Beyond Walls has a joint partnership with Les Enfants, Le Jeu et l’Education (EJE), a non-govermental organization based in Bethlehem, West Bank (Palestine), focused on programs that suport child development, education and creative play. In collaboration with EJE's staff and network of youth centers, Voices Beyond Walls regularly conducts traingings, workshops and exhibitions across the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, as well as in several international venues.
Funding for the program since 2006 has been supported in part by generous contributions and resources provided by private donors in the U.S.
In 2007-2008, most digital storytelling workshops conducted by Voices Beyond Walls in the West Bank have been supported by grants from the Hoping Foundation, based in the U.K.
The Ramallah workshop in 2008 was supported by the Welfare Association, while the Training of Trainers (ToT) program in 2008 was supported by a grant from the World Bank.
In summer 2008, the research and fieldwork conducted in East Jerusalem and the Shu’fat refugee camp was sponsored by the Jerusalem 2050 Project at MIT.
In summer 2009, the Youth Visions of Jerusalem program was supported in part by the Jerusalem Fund, Palestinian Authority.
In summer 2010, the Re-imagining Project was supported in part by the Genevieve McMillan-Reba Stewart Foundation and the MIT Center for Future Civic Media, with additional support for the Gaza program provided by Sharek Youth Forum, and in-kind support for the Al Aroub workshop in the West Bank provided by UNRWA.
Voices Beyond Walls is a program of the Center for Peace Building International (CPBI), a U.S. based 501 (c) (3) organization. The program is seeking to establish its own independent nonprofit status shortly.
